Travel can often reveal the good, the bad, and the ugly.  When you spend more time together, you often discover a different side (good and bad) to your partner once you step out of your comfort zone and daily routines.  There's nothing more exciting than sharing new experiences.  When things get tough, you get to see how easily your partner can 'shrug' it off and how well you can communicate with each other and work together as a team to solve any problems that can (and do!) arise.

When we first started dating, travel was a great way for us to really get to know each other.  We spent a lot of time outdoors, camping, and visiting places that required us to venture outside our comfort zone.  Our bodies were often sore and exhausted from hiking for miles and miles, we went days without showering, and learned to be creative when communicating in non-English speaking countries.  But no matter what challenge we faced, we always came out stronger and more in love with each other than before.  Now, looking back on our adventures together, even the hardest times make for the best stories!
